DFW/City EMT is excited to offer a new program to the community.  The upcoming CITY DISPATCH test preparation program will guide participants through the application process for the City and County of San Francisco's 8238-- Public Safety Communications Dispatcher position, Oakland's Fire Dispatch Trainee, and other local Emergency Dispatch hiring opportunities. Course meets for 3 consecutive weeks Monday - Thursday evenings 5pm - 8:30pm. Participants receive one year of case management assistance to assist them with the often long and daunting hiring process for these positions. All course materials are provided through the program.  We are currently accepting applications for our next cohort scheduled to begin Monday, August 4th.   Applications are currently CLOSED.  (Tentatively scheduled to reopen in Septemb2r 2025)

Requirements:

1) Must be over the age of 18 years old
2)Must have at minimal two years of working experience with people contact
3)Must be able to pass the background check (no felonies)

FIRST STEP TO APPLY 

1.  All applications MUST include a typing exam certificate and current resume.  Take the five-minute typing exam on typingtest.com.  When you complete the typing test you will download the completion certificate. Save it to submit with your application.
